The primary botanical source Balamulachurna. literature refers to Balamulachurna as either the root powders Sida cordifolia, acuta, cordata or rhombifolia subsp. retusa. To accomplish clinical efficacy tailam, standardization necessary. Objectives: study aimed establish pharmacognostic standards with respect retusa powder. Materials Methods: Pharmacognostical was carried out by focusing on organoleptic, macroscopic, microscopic, preliminary phytochemical evaluation, heavy metal assessments, fluorescence HPTLC studies. Results: roots macroscopic features were noticed as; an elongated taproot few lateral roots, thick, woody, brown-coloured bitter taste. Organoleptic characteristics revealed nature powder cream colour a pleasant odour slightly microscopic specified presence fibres, fibre–sclereids, tracheids, vessel elements calcium oxalate crystals. Physicochemical studies assessed total ash (7.5%), water-soluble (4.46%), alkalinity (0.4 ml) acid-insoluble (3.3%). analyses glycosides, alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, quinones. exhibited various Rf values diversity multiple phytoconstituents. Conclusion: scientific data generated beneficial adequately identifying establishing using drug maintaining quality purity formulation.
